Using our Time Wisely - Hotel Omuhipiti

With the current worldwide Covid-19 outbreak, it is of no doubt that the world has hit a major time of change and transformation. With the Tourism Industry being one of the majorly affected sectors, every step we take is crucial to our future.
As the number of cases rise in Mozambique and Worldwide, we use this time to learn, to change and to transform. Such uncertain times call for panic and distress however, we choose to be the pioneers in our region introducing our staff to a new form of hospitality during this pandemic. With the summer kicking off in the Northern Hemisphere, this would be a time where Hotel Omuhipiti would be filled with tourists from all nationalities and corners of the world. We miss very dearly such activity and hope for better days for all.
We now choose to use our time wisely not only to retrain our staff with a strict Biosafety and Hygiene Protocol but also to further improve our staff’s general hospitality services. We can tell you it has been a major learning curve for us all these past months and we are extremely proud of the whole team for collaborating.

Training at Hotel Omuhipiti, carried out with a view of recycling the skills and technical knowledge of employees, a training forum conducive to the adoption of new content that is the current trend in the Hotel Industry. The training was planned and carried out with the staff of the restaurant, bar, reception and floors. In addition to the hotel operating practice was the reception, care, hygiene, posture and execution of various services. Significantly highlighted throughout was the need to strictly observe and practice preventive measures against the new corona virus.
Furthermore, aspects that much emphasis was placed on this training process included: - Value the service provided, - Observe the details that make the difference and above all - Be honest.
"Just like athletes, musicians and more artists and professionals from different areas of activity, hospitality professionals also need to continuously improve their skills, adapting to updates".
The willingness to put the actions learnt by the employees into practice is notorious, we believe with great certainty that their performance in their work will reflect in many aspects of hospitality.
